Children need a world that is alive with possibilities, a world that invites them to discover, create and explore.” ~ Margaret Wheatley

Welcome to parenthood and welcome to mindful milestones.

If you have landed on this page, you may be expecting a baby soon or have recently welcomed a beautiful wonder into your life. From the depths of my heart, let me congratulate you. Nothing compares to the pure joy of cradling a little one in your arms, a gift beyond measure. Each day with your child turns a new page in the beautiful story of your family.

While babies bring unparalleled joy, they also come with their own sweet challenges. I often hear parents and friends asking, "Where is the handbook?" I felt the same way with my first child. I was constantly juggling various apps to track soiled diapers, sleeping habits, eating and, of course, developmental milestones. This cycle of attempting to track this tiny human had me constantly questioning my ability to mother my child. I frequently compared her to others and worried whether I was doing enough for her, standing at the precipice of self-doubt. It was essential for me to remember that this is her childhood, my journey as a mother and we have only one opportunity to cherish it. There was so much more to raising her than data, milestones, or counting dirty diapers. It was about our connection and my innate ability to nurture this beautiful, resilient human being. I discovered my strengths, as well as hers, and where I needed expertise, I sought it out. I became an empowered parent, and my goal with Mindful Milestones is to instill that same empowerment in you.

My daughter was the catalyst that led me to pursue a career path I had always envisioned. I transitioned from being a public school teacher for children with special needs to an Infant Toddler Developmental Specialist. I learned a wealth of information about child development, intervention and working with families. As a consultant, I have learned we must view the child and the family as a whole, recognizing the interconnected aspects of development, especially in the early years. By focusing on your child’s strengths and your family’s unique qualities, we can foster meaningful progress. Helping your child develop can be small changes integrated into your daily routine. It can and should feel sustainable.

What to expect?

Empowerment is at the heart of the Mindful Milestones program. In this program, we meet monthly to discuss your child's progress, ensuring you leave each session with a wealth of information to better understand their development. Together, we co-create achievable, play-based engagement activities designed to fit your routine. Throughout the month, you will also receive follow-up emails to maintain our connection. I provide parent support along the way, recognizing the transition into parenthood can be challenging. Everyone’s plan is unique and different to them. This program is designed for families with children ages 0-18 months and is a three or six month commitment. Book a complimentary consultation today so we can meet and discuss whether this program is right for you.
