Parent coaching is personalized support for the real challenges that come with raising children and navigating family life. Parent coaching is personalized support for the real challenges that come with raising children and navigating family life. But it’s also about something bigger: helping you create a parenthood you feel connected to, confident in, and genuinely enjoy. Rather than offering one-size-fits-all parenting advice, we work alongside parents to understand what is happening in their family, identify what they need, and develop strategies and systems that work for their unique child and family.

What is Parent Coaching?

Parents come to coaching for many different reasons. We support families navigating challenging behaviors, sibling conflict and rivalry, executive functioning difficulties, developmental concerns and new diagnoses, major family transitions such as divorce, and the everyday challenges that can leave parents wondering what to do next. We can also help parents better understand what is happening beneath their child’s behavior, support developmental growth, and create practical systems at home that build on the strengths already present within their family.

But parent coaching isn’t only about children. We also support the parent. That may mean identifying limiting beliefs, building confidence in your parenting, reconnecting with parts of yourself that have gotten lost along the way, or getting clearer about the kind of parent and family you want to become. Parent coaching gives you a space to step out of the day-to-day demands of parenting, look at the bigger picture, and move forward with support that is specific to you and your family.

What’s Included in Parent Coaching?

Parent coaching at Bright Beginnings is more than the hour we spend together. The real work happens in the moments between our sessions, when you're back inside your family, trying something new, noticing an old pattern, facing a challenge you didn't anticipate, or even recognizing a strength you never realized you had before. That's why your coaching experience is designed to support you both inside and outside of our sessions, with personalized tools, resources, and support built around you and your family.

One-on-One Personalized Coaching

Our sessions go deeper than simply talking through the problem in front of you. Through thoughtful questions and exploration, we uncover your strengths, dreams, values, parenting style, and the beliefs and patterns shaping how you show up in your family. We explore what motivates you and your child, shift perspectives, and create space for new possibilities to emerge. Change isn't something prescribed to you. It happens through collaboration. You bring the expertise of knowing your child and your family; we bring the questions, perspective, knowledge, and guidance that help you see new paths forward. Together, we generate ideas and solutions that neither of us could have created alone

Between-Session Concierge Support

At Bright Beginnings, coaching doesn't stop after one hour. Parenting doesn't happen once a week, and we don't believe your support should either. We pride ourselves on providing a high-touch, concierge coaching experience that allows the work to continue as real life unfolds. Active clients have access to text and email support between sessions, as well as short scheduled calls when something needs more than a message. Have a breakthrough or success? Tell us. Tried something and it completely fell apart? Let's look at it. Noticed a pattern you hadn't seen before? That's part of the work, too. The more you engage with your coaching process between sessions, the more we have to explore, build upon, and bring back into our work together.

Individualized Behavioral Support

When behavior is part of what brings you to coaching, we look beyond simply trying to stop it. Every child is different, and what motivates or supports one child may not work for another. Together, we look beneath the behavior to understand what may be driving it, while considering your child’s developmental needs, intrinsic and external motivation, environment, and the family system as a whole.

Sometimes supporting a change in your child’s behavior also means shifting how we respond to it as parents. We may explore parenting strategies, expectations, boundaries, communication, routines, or patterns of interaction and consider what changes could create a different response within the family. When one part of a family system shifts, it can create opportunities for the entire system to shift with it.

When additional support is needed, we co-create individualized strategies and behavioral support plans that approach the behavior from multiple angles. Just as importantly, the plan has to work in your real life. We collaborate with you to build systems that feel supportive and sustainable, not like another chore added to an already full parenting load. The goal isn't to hand you a plan to follow perfectly. It's to create something together that fits your child, your parenting, and your family—and that you can actually use.

Parent Introspectives + Personalized Follow-Up

Working with a PCI Certified Parent Coach® gives you access to exclusive PCI Parent Introspectives that are available through the PCI coaching process. These aren't simply worksheets to complete between sessions. They are an intentional part of the coaching framework, designed to help us go deeper into your parenting by exploring your strengths, values, beliefs, patterns, dreams, and the possibilities you may not have considered yet.

Through these introspectives, we tap into generativity, the ability to discover and create new paths forward rather than simply repeating what we've always known or done. Each introspective is intentionally selected based on where you are in your individual coaching process, helping you continue the work between sessions and step more fully into the parent and the person you want to become.

Along the way, you'll also receive personalized follow-up and Bright Beginnings resources that support the specific work we're doing together, so what happens in coaching continues to develop long after our session ends.

Personalized Meditations, Visualizations + Your Private Coaching Portal

Your coaching portal becomes a space created specifically for your journey. As our work unfolds, it grows with you, housing the Parent Introspectives, personalized resources, tools, and materials that are intentionally selected or created based on what is emerging in our sessions.

When our work takes us deeper, I may also create personalized guided meditations or visualizations specifically for you. These are inspired by the themes, patterns, goals, or parts of yourself we're exploring together and give you a way to continue that work outside of our sessions. You can return to them throughout your coaching journey whenever you need to reconnect with what you're working toward.

There is no standard Bright Beginnings coaching portal that every parent receives. What lives inside yours is a reflection of your individual process, your family, and the work we are creating together.

Our Frameworks & Tools

Our work is grounded in evidence-informed frameworks and practical tools that help us look deeper, understand what is happening within your family, and create meaningful paths forward. These frameworks give us a way to move beyond one-size-fits-all parenting strategies and tailor our work to you, your child, and your family.

PCI Parent Coaching Model

Developed by Dr. Gloria DeGaetano, founder of the Parent Coaching Institute, the PCI Parent Coaching Model takes a strengths-based, whole-person approach to coaching that looks beyond the immediate parenting challenge. Rather than simply telling parents what to do, we use reflection, meaningful questions, and collaboration to uncover strengths, explore new possibilities, and create meaningful change that fits your family.

Appreciative Inquiry

Appreciative Inquiry is a strengths-based approach that shifts the focus from simply asking “What’s wrong?” to discovering what is already working and what could be possible. Through Discovery, Dream, and Design, we uncover strengths and successes, envision what you want for yourself and your family, and co-create a path toward bringing that vision to life.

Family Regulation Framework™

The Family Regulation Framework™ looks beyond a child’s behavior to understand the larger system influencing it. By exploring parent regulation, child regulation, and the environment, we identify how each part of the family system is interacting and where small, intentional shifts can create meaningful change. Rather than focusing only on changing the child, the framework helps us understand what the entire family system may need to function more successfully together.

Parenting Styles & Children’s Stylistic Preferences

Understanding the natural styles of both parents and children can give us a deeper understanding of how a family interacts. By exploring differences in personality, communication, learning, and individual strengths, we can better understand where parents and children naturally connect, where they may experience friction, and how to work with those differences rather than against them.

Testimonials

  • “Before I met with Danielle our day to day with my 3 year old felt very chaotic and I felt very stuck as a parent. I was lost in a sea of online parenting advice with very few strategies that actually worked for my kiddo. I had very little confidence in my abilities as a parent and to be honest we were floundering. From my first discovery call with Danielle I felt understood and supported in a way that I truly didn’t think was even possible as a parent. She is warm and empathetic and truly cares. Our coaching was such a collaborative and engaging experience and I looked forward to it each week. She helped me build systems in our day that support me and my family. Danielle helped me implement strategies that changed my capacity day to day so I can show up for my daughter. She gave me a framework for taking on the challenging parts of our day and helped me realize my own potential in the process. I walked away each week with actionable steps to try and a way forward if we ran into challenges. This process was truly transformative for me and my family and I wish all moms could feel this supported.

  • Working with Danielle during one of the hardest seasons of my life—navigating divorce and grieving the reality of sharing custody of my son—was truly transformative. When everything felt overwhelming, she helped me shift my focus from what I was losing to how I could intentionally show up in the time I do have with my child. Instead of feeling helpless, I felt empowered. She gave me practical tools to handle meltdowns with more confidence and calm, helped me recognize my strengths as a parent (even when I doubted myself), and most importantly, supported me in deepening my connection with my son. Because of her guidance, the time I spend with my child feels more meaningful, more connected, and more aligned with the kind of parent I want to be. If you’re going through a difficult transition and want to feel more grounded, capable, and connected as a parent—I can’t recommend her enough.

  • “I just finished 10 coaching sessions with Danielle and am so grateful for it! I was having a hard time connecting with my middle child and Danielle gave me so many tools to help me do so and there has been a huge shift in my son and I’s relationship. She also helped me realize what may be going on with my daughter when she gets dysregulated which helped me handle these episodes so much better. Danielle has helped me define what our family values are and given me so much great verbiage to use to promote these values. She is also just so smart, intuitive and empathetic. I’m so glad I have her in my corner as a mom of three!
